Who We Are
Destiny’s Place is a community-based, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. We are a staff-supported service provider committed to improving the quality of life of the people we serve through advocacy, skill-building, and empowerment. We also established our organization to open new opportunities for our communities, helping with joblessness, homelessness, and even financial crisis. Our founder shows great compassion and dedication to extend our help to those in need, along with the genuine assistance of benefactors and sponsors.
Destiny’s Place’s targeted populations are women with a diagnosis of mental health or developmental disabilities and displaced Veterans.
Most families cover assisted living costs using private funds—often a combination of savings, Social Security benefits, pension payments, and retirement accounts. However, there are some government programs and financial tools that can offer help paying for assisted living.
Destiny’s Place is staffed by licensed and certified professionals uniquely qualified to provide direct care and services.
Our Mission
Destiny’s Place addresses the needs of residents in the community by promoting safe, supervised, supportive, and comprehensive in-home interventions individually tailored to meet the needs of the resident.
Our mission as an assisted living facility is to motivate and teach the skills needed to sustain optimal living in the community, thereby allowing residents the opportunity for mutual self-help, self-reliance, and a heightened sense of community through in-home services.
Vision
- To promote productive living in the community through motivation, self-development, and life-enhancement opportunities.
- To provide coordination, linkage, and advocacy services to residents while encouraging self-sufficiency and optimal living.
